The Green River and Forever Green, Inc. Thanks You!

Forever Green, Inc. is a non-governmental (NGO), nonprofit (501 (c)3) organization.  Its purpose is to enhance the awareness and appreciation of the Upper Green River, Kentucky, by promoting the aesthetic, natural, scientific, and cultural features of the river and its associated communities. Forever Green, Inc.  is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, benevolent, educational, horticultural, recreational, and scientific purposes.

In addition to general activities promoting the upper Green River, specific projects for consideration in 2019 include:

Green River Explorers/Green River Academy: One sure way to protect the legacy of the Green River for future generations is to expose the current generation to the river and all its wonders.  However, opportunities for students to experience Green River up-close and personal via school field trips continue to decline.  Budget and logistical constraints limit teachers who would like to reinforce classroom lessons by exposing students to the river. Forever Green seeks to provide financial, scientific and logistical assistance in support of the 2nd Annual 2019 Campbellsville University Green River Academy which pairs local teachers with select high school students for a week of learning about the Green River watershed.  Our goal is to raise $2500 towards this project.

Upper Green River Classroom Aquarium GrantForever Green would like to fund the purchase of a large aquarium and supplies for a local classroom so that native Green River fauna can be on display at their school. Our goal is $500 for one classroom.
